Lancet Laboratories Tanzania is a dully registered company in Tanzania that offers Laboratory services to different groups. We employ over 120 young Tanzanian professionals running our ultramodern facilities at our Dar es Salaam Headquarters, our other laboratory in Dar es Salaam as well as across the country; Arusha, Moshi, Dodoma, Zanzibar, Mwanza and Mbeya.
As an independent laboratory, we provide exclusive referral services at competitive pricing to hospitals, clinics, laboratories, research Institutions and directly to the public all treated as high-value clients. We also offer home and office visits within Dar e salaam and other parts of the country for collection of specimens by trained phlebotomists.
Our team in Tanzania comprises two pathologists in Tanzania, supported by their 11 colleagues in Nairobi, over 100 Pathologists in South Africa and 500 Pathologists across Europe as thanks to your parent company Cerba Lancet Africa.
ISO ACCREDITATION
We have a total of 10 laboratories in Tanzania including one in Zanzibar. Two of them are accredited by SADCAS (Lancet Conservation House), two are accredited by KENAS (Moshi Branch and Arusha Branch), the other 6 laboratories (including the Zanzibar branch) are in the process to be accredited.
Our two main laboratories are internationally accredited under ISO15189:2012, since March 2017 and March 2018 respectively being the first two private-owned laboratories to attain this accreditation.
We are registered with the Southern African Development Community Accreditation Services (SADCAS) and have successfully been audited every year since 2017.
We are offering the widest scope of accredited tests in Tanzania, leveraging our accreditations across all our laboratory departments from routine chemistry and hematology, to immunoassay and microbiology.
Our Referral Laboratory in Nairobi and South Africa all departments including histology, cytology, immunohistochemistry, and molecular Pathology are all ISO15189:2012 accredited.

We have also been inspected and audited by other independent organizations who use our facility for referral services including the Muhimbili National Hospital who uses us as their backup Laboratory, National Institute for Medical Research through BARC whom we are conducting a Clinical Trial Research for TB drug, among others.
